Study in Australia from Nepal

Australia is the biggest country in the world and a continent by itself. It is in the southern hemisphere, meaning its weather changes are the opposite of India’s. Five of the 30 best cities in the world for students to live in are in Australia. This is based on factors like the number of students, cost, quality of life, and job opportunities. Canberra is the name of Australia’s capital city. Australia has more than 30 universities ranked worldwide for their academics, placements, prospects, and courses. Australia is one of the most popular places to study abroad, along with the USA, Canada, and the UK. Each year, it draws more than a million international students.

Australia’s education system for international students

Australia has more international students than any other country except the United States and the United Kingdom. Australia is also home to seven of the world’s top 100 universities. Australia’s national quality assurance system is unique in its structure and rigor. The government set up the Australian Quality Training Framework to improve how education checks for quality.

Higher education students have a lot of choices when it comes to choosing a college or university. Even though there are organizations that try to rank colleges and universities, “fit” is also an essential factor. The GPA of admitted students is important, but a prospective student will also look at the majors offered, the location, the number of students enrolled, and the school’s culture. Some colleges and universities get money from the government, while others get money from private sources.

Popular places for international students to study

There are more than just 10 top universities in Australia. There is a list of top-ranked universities in Australia that get a lot of applications for admission. Recent statistics show that some of Australia’s most popular universities are:

1. The Australian National University
2. New South Wales University
3. Melbourne’s University
4. Western Sydney University
5. Monash University
There is no order to these. All of Australia’s most prestigious schools are in the area of New South Wales on the east coast. Most of the best colleges in the country are in cities like Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth. Up until July of 2022, more than 2.6 million Indian students are studying in Australia. Most Indian students in Australia study Accounting, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Health Care, Information Technology, and Hotel Management.

Australia is a safe place for Nepalese Students.

Australia is a multicultural country where people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds are welcome. Even though most Indian students studying in Australia have a good time there, several assaults and thefts in 2009 and 2010 affected not only Indian students but also the larger Indian community in Australia. At the moment, no such incidents have been reported, and the Australian government is working hard to ensure that they don’t happen again. Accommodations in Australia for International Students

First, you have to decide if you want to live in a place run by the university or with a private landlord. If the university is in charge of your housing, you can choose to have it catered to or do it yourself. With catered lodging, your meals are cooked for you, and you know roughly how much each meal will cost.

If you know what you like, the housing office at your university will be able to tell you what kind of housing they have. This is where you should start looking. If you want to rent from a private landlord or if the university you want to go to doesn’t have any housing options, the accommodation office should be able to give you a list of private properties and landlords in the area.

No matter where you decide to live, you should know your contractual rights and obligations. Most of the time, you’ll be asked to sign a lease, which you should read carefully before you put your name on.

Orientation and Activities

International students have to attend orientation week, so ensure you get there before it starts. This is when you will learn about the university and what it has to offer. You will also sign up for classes. You must read your guidebook, which the college gives you. The guide explains each step of how to get into a school.
In addition to sports, colleges offer a wide range of extracurricular activities that give students a lot of new experiences. Colleges have music, drama, science, and literary societies that provide opportunities to learn outside and do other fun things. College life includes trips to the theater, concerts, and places related to the courses, like art galleries, museums, religious centers, historical sites, scientific companies, and projects.Visit poste for study abroad in other countries

Australia’s Intake Seasons

After landing in Australia

When they first get to Australia, international students may have trouble getting used to the weather, transportation, people, etc. There are a few important things that international students need to know to get along in their new environment:

Most students will have to deal with homesickness at some point or another. It could happen at the start of the year or a long way into it. We’ll get over missing home. Be patient. At least two weeks should pass. If you’re sad, talk to your friends about what’s happening. Don’t hide in your room because that will make you miss home more. Find a staff counselor to talk to about being homesick or other problems.

Calling home often and for a long time might make you feel even more homesick. Most students who are homesick feel even more homesick after calling home than they did before they did. Try not to call home more than once a week. The faster you get used to college life, the faster your homesickness will disappear.

Getting things in Australia
In Australia, big shopping malls and supermarkets like Wal-Mart and Target are one-stop shops where you can get everything you need for the day. Be careful to ensure that all of your shopping is billed right and that you always have the bills.

Learning how to cook
If you cook for yourself, you’ll save money. Australia charges a lot for Indian food. It will also satisfy your desire to eat “your food” when you feel overwhelmed by a new culture. Indian spices aren’t always easy to find in small towns, but most colleges have shops where you can buy most of the things you need to make Indian food. Read: Iconic foods to try as a student in Australia.

Each big city has different kinds of public transportation, like buses, taxis, and trains. You might want to use a personal car to get around. Even though gas prices are rising, private cars are still the most cost-effective and convenient way to get around. This is because your car has a lot of freedom and flexibility. You can go wherever and whenever you want, and you don’t have to worry about when public transportation is running. But you will have to use public transportation or ask friends for rides before you can buy your own car.

Using a Student Visa to Stay
When you go to Australia, you can stay there as long as you’re in school and need to finish your program. After the program, you can apply for a temporary graduate visa through either the new post-study workstream or the graduate workstream, as long as you meet the specific requirements. How long you have your subclass 485 visa depends on the qualification you used to qualify for the arrangements.

Options for Placements in Australia

Indian students are used to getting jobs through campus placements and by being hired on campus. Like most other places, Australia doesn’t have the idea of placements. Most Australian universities have a Career Services Center that helps students find jobs and prepare for interviews. Recruiting on campus is always based on what students are interested in. When a company hires through a university, they do not offer a job directly. What they offer is a co-op or an internship. Before hiring you full-time, companies like to see your work for a few months.

Australia Work Visa After Studying

Graduates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree may be able to get a two-year work visa after they finish school. Graduates with a Master’s in research or a Ph.D. may be able to apply for a three- or four-year work visa after they finish school. Through the graduate work stream, other graduates may be able to apply for a subclass 485 visa for 18 months.

From November 2019, the following cities will get an extra year of PSWR:

1. Adelaide
2. Perth
3. Coast of Gold
4. Wollongong/Illawarra Geelong
5. Hobart
6. Sunshine Coast, Ottawa Lake Macquarie, and Newcastle
