Do SAT Students in Nepal Get a Device from College Board?
The Digital SAT must be taken on an approved device using the Bluebook app. During SAT registration, students may see an option related to device access or requesting a device if they do not have one. However, students in Nepal should understand one important point: requesting a device does not guarantee that College Board will provide a device.
College Board recommends that students first try to use their own approved device or borrow one from school, a family member, or a friend. If a student cannot access any suitable device, College Board may be able to lend a device, but the request must be completed properly and early.
Practical Advice for Nepali SAT Students
Do not fully depend on device accommodation or device lending. Most students in Nepal should prepare their own laptop, iPad, or approved tablet before test day. This helps students install Bluebook, complete exam setup, practice on the same device, and avoid last-minute stress.
Use Your Own Device If Possible
The best option is to use your own approved device because you can practice on it, install Bluebook early, and become comfortable before the real SAT.
Borrow from School, Friend, or Family
If you do not own a suitable device, try to borrow one early from your school, friend, or family member and test Bluebook compatibility before the exam.
Device Request Is Not Guaranteed
College Board may lend a device in some cases, but submitting a request does not confirm that you will receive one for test day.
Request at Least 30 Days Early
If you need to request a College Board device, you should register for a test date at least 30 days away and complete the request early.
Arrive Early If Approved
If College Board approves a loaned device, you need to arrive 30 minutes early at the test center to sign in and complete exam setup.
MKS Helps with Device Readiness
At MKS Education, students are guided about Bluebook setup, device readiness, mock-test practice, and test-day preparation so they can avoid technical problems.
